Everyone says that beauty is only skin deep. Some people can radiate beauty through the confidence and pure joy that they bring to the world. Farah Khaleck has this kind of beauty and is using her story to empower and spread joy to the world.

Farah Khaleck is 32 years old. Today, she is barely recognizable from her younger self due to a disease called Scleroderma. Farah first started showing signs of the disease when she was 18 years old. Scleroderma, or sometimes known as systemic sclerosis, is an auto-immune disease that causes the body to create excess collagen under her skin. The result is a tightening and hardening of her skin causing her fingers to swell and lock, as well as her face and many other parts of her body. This painful disease is often fatal and there is no cure.

When Farah was younger, she would often be hesitant to post pictures on social media or to even go out in public. Today, she is confident and has taken a new stance on life and hoping to inspire others in the process. Her message? “Never shy. Never hide or feel less of yourself because you’re different. We are all different. It has taught me to live my life with so much gratitude and fullness and constant hoping for the best.”
