Everyone dreads their parents and grandparents creating social media accounts. Awkward Facebook posts, using Twitter as a Google search box, all of the goofy comments on your posts; all of these reasons combined are enough to never friend your relatives on social media. One grandpa, however, has over 120k followers on Instagram and has people lining up to request him.
Eighty-four-year-old Tetsuya has more followers on Instagram than you. No, this isn’t a joke. He doesn’t have some satire account and he isn’t doing or saying anything crazy. His Instagram account of over 120k followers is actually a fashion account.
Tetsuya didn’t stumble upon his high-fashion style. His grandson, Naoya Kudo, helped by lending him some clothes to wear. The result? An 84-year-old grandpa that looks like he walked off of a catwalk and straight into cover model. The viral pictures on Instagram show Tetsuya dressed in Givenchy, Burberry, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton with important and momentous places to Tetsuya in the background. “It was quite a transformation to see my rural grandpa, who has no interest in fashion, in outfits he would never consider wearing on his own,” Naoya said.
