Brighter gaze, here we come!

We are no longer just getting ready for a party or a holiday dinner. It’s about being Instagram ready as well because we love to share our #ootd and #makeupgoals. We enjoy sharing the special moments with our friends and, yes, followers. The hottest trend is called halo eyes, and it works for every occasion or outfit.

The halo eyes effect is glittery enough to capture the light, stylish, and subtler (and more fashionable) than classic sequins. The effect is achievable in any color and can be as dramatic as smokey eyes but also gentler.

This glowy beauty trend is focused on making eyes pop. The point is to create bigger eyes and brighter gaze. Pink tones are very feminine and if you want something a bit more understated, try mixing rose shades. However, the color choice is entirely up to you. Green and blue hues are just as interesting. Nude and greyish are safe choices since most women already use these pallets. Now, let’s see how to get those halo eyes.

Step 1: Lighten the eye

Create a light effect in the middle of the eyelid and just below it. Blend a light metallic shade to the crease and just above it. If you are unsure which shade to choose, go for champagne. It will go perfectly with any eyeshade color.

Step 2: Frame itĀ

Contour the fold of the eye as well as the inner and outer corners. This time use a darker color and blend. Among the shades of taupe, bronze, and brown, you’ll find one that best highlights your eye color and mixes in with your skin tone. Extend your gaze by drawing and blending a darker shadow from the outer corner of the eye.

Step 3: Finishing TouchesĀ

Adding a black eyeliner or pen will further emphasize the look. If you chose a more minimalistic approach, you could skip this step. What you cannot skip is mascara. Apply it in spiral movements, and don’t forget the roots of the lashes.
