Ew, David!

All good things come to an end, and for Schitt’s Creek fans, that ending starts Jan. 7, on Pop TV. There are no spoilers for the sixth and final season of the hilarious and heartwarming Canadian TV show. However, it’s not like we don’t know anything. Let’s spill that tea.

Schitt’s Creek star Emily Hampshire, who plays Stevie Budd, revealed her feelings about the finale to the Elite Daily. What caught our eye: “The thing Schitt’s Creek does so well is that it will make you laugh and then rip your heart out.” She followed with another simple truth about any beloved TV show: “I think it leaves people so satisfied, which I never thought was possible,” Hampshire said. “Everyone’s storyline has been wrapped up. It really kind of sets everyone off on their path, and I think people will be very pleased.”

In case you skipped it, you are in good company. Even Oprah caught it after David Rose (Daniel Levy) performed Tina Turner’s ‘Simply The Best.’ Fans know how vital this scene is. As much we love the Rose family, Catherine O’Hara is pure, understated comedy gold, and her Moira is a perfect blend of sarcasm and ignorance.

Clueless, but kind-hearted and intelligent, Alexis Rose (Annie Murphy) will most likely marry her handsome vet. We are predicting wedding bells for David and Patrick as well. However, there’s got to be a twist, probably related to their old lives, and we cannot wait to see how the writers will handle it.

The show creators, David and Johnny Rose, came up with the idea for Schitt’s Creek while watching reality TV. With barely any marketing, the show didn’t get a following until later seasons. Now’s it is one of the best shows of the decade, and yes, it is that good. And it’s not just that we’ll miss the Rose family, the whole town with a witty name is full of pleasant, yet humorous surprises.
