Your next vacation destination…
As more cold weather is on the way, many are making some travel plans to go somewhere a little warmer. One of the best places to soak up the sun is Cancun, Mexico and we give you a guide on some of the cools things to do in Cancun.
Coco Bongo Cancun
There are a lot of nightclubs in Cancun, but Coco Bongo is not your average nightclub. It’s hard to describe with the overwhelming entertainment factor. There’s a stage with performances based on popular movies including an ariel trapeze act for the “300” movie and lavish can-can dancers for “Moulin Rouge.”
They also have A LOT of alcohol, nearly everywhere you go there are shot girls with bottles of shots to pour straight in your mouth for your partying convenience. They also have breaks between the performances and you can dance on various platform points that act as the stage. They also literally party into the morning since they close at 7 a.m.
Isla Mujeres
This small island off the coast of Cancun offers a fun day trip with a variety of crazy activities to choose from. You can take a ferry to the small island and choose how you want to spend your day in the sun.
One of the most fun ways to get around the island is by renting a golf cart or bicycle (I recommend the golf cart). They offer fun shopping markets in town and along the beach. You can also get a reasonably priced massage on the public beach to cool down and if you get too hot, they have a huge indoor ice bar offering the coldest cocktail on the island.
Shopping at the local market
The Cancun local shopping market truly offers everything and anything you can think of, red clay pottery, knives, leather bags, leather boots, hand-cut coin necklaces, and even fish pedicures. The merchants are also open to haggling so finding a bargain isn’t too hard.
Exploring the Cancun Underwater Museum of Art
Cancun has some of the most clear water in the world, perfect for snorkeling or diving. Cancun offers a unique diving experience with its underwater museum of art featuring a collection of statues at various depths underwater. If you’re not into getting wet, you can take a tour of the underwater museum on a glass-bottom boat or a submarine tour.
They offer affordable tour rates and make for some amazing pictures for your social media page.
