Two Simple Steps Might Save Your Relationship

In a busy world, we tend to forget the importance of little things.

Relationships don’t have to be hard, but they do require work and effort. Your romantic partner should be your friend, and you should treat them with the same respect as we do with our friends. However, due to emotions, fast living, or self-doubts, we often forget that to show our friendly, human side to the person we love the most.

Self-esteem issues, low self-respect, and other issues regarding mental health are on the rise. On the surface, we are looking more selfish, but inside, most are struggling with feelings of not being smart or good enough in any other way. This isn’t anything new, but it’s growing and entering every aspect of our lives. And that’s one of many reasons why relationships fall apart: we don’t show gratitude and appreciation to our partners.

So, what’s the secret? There’s no quick solution, but there is a long lost yet powerful way to improve your communication. Communication is the key to a healthier and happier relationship between two people. That’s why it is essential to use the ultra-popular mindfulness. It creates a calming and comfortable atmosphere for both of you.

Here’s a typical scenario: you come from work and complain, you eat and complain, the other side is doing the same, and it all seems miserable. Instead, leave problems aside. Greet your partner and ask:” How was your day?” No ulterior motives, no hidden agenda. Simply ask and then listen. Be as present as humanly possible. It’s not that a person desires to be asked; it’s a feeling of being heard and cared for that makes a difference.

We know that we are living in busy times, and that’s why many are struggling, despite financial wellbeing. Listening, showing that you care, and giving your critical opinion is a key to not just saving many relationships but friendships as well. “I am here for you” has more meaning than any material present. It’s not about fixing any issues over a cup of coffee; it’s about creating a bond that might last a lifetime. And that includes trust, helping each other out, and being comfortable to talk.
