Sheridan Smith is an English actress and singer who has spanned her career across sitcoms, films, music, and musicals like Legally Blonde. She has received numerous awards and nominations, and now she’s coming into the spotlight for one more exciting achievement: self-love.
It was recently shared that Sheridan was discussing body positivity, sharing that she isn’t ashamed of her body. Joking that she is “weeble-shaped,” she mentioned celebrating her body- an achievement for the general population that has taken centuries to achieve, and still isn’t quite there.
Sheridan has a fuller figure that she is very proud of. She mentioned that she is happy despite being “aware” that she isn’t the “perfect shape and size.” When jokingly comparing herself to Weebles, a popular 1970s egg-shaped toy for kids that doesn’t fall over, she states it’s not necessarily because of her size; instead, it’s because despite any “problems” she has, she remains strong and picks herself back up.
Sheridan feels that kids these days have too much pressure to be and look “perfect.” Instead, she hopes that everyone will celebrate their individual shapes and sizes.
