Rebecca Minkoff is yet another fashion designer aiming to make their lines more sustainable and better for the environment.

Whether through a subscription box like Stitch Fix or a fashion rental company like Rent the Runway, most people out there- fashionista or not- have heard of these newly trending companies. It’s been shown that the fashion industry is headed towards rental and resale models, and Minkoff is no stranger to that idea. In an interview with Cheddar, Minkoff discussed upcoming steps she would like to take to modernize her business. She mentioned that her brand is “moving as fast as it can” to keep up with the direction the fashion industry is headed towards.

At home and in her business, Minkoff claims that she is someone who practices sustainability, so to her, it’s a no-brainer to hold the same expectations of her supply chain.

We don’t expect the trend towards rentals and resale in the fashion industry to waver anytime soon, especially because millennials and Generation Z-ers move towards secondhand fashion 2.5 times quicker than any previous generation.
