Getting in Touch With Nature: Tree Suites in the Alps

We are already packing our bags and heading to Austria.

Have you have ever wondered what a contemporary treehouse would look like? Something you had or wished you had as a child, only with all the accommodations you will ever need? You will find your answers soon in the Austrian town of Kitzbühel.

Italian architect Peter Pichler designed the treehouses, and, by all accounts, they’re going to be an incredible piece of architecture, surrounded by a real winter idyll. In the middle of the Alps, within the forest, seven-star paradise is unlike anything we’ve seen before. The complex is called Tree Suites and will be part of a luxury hotel. And when we say luxury, we mean full-on winter wonderland and more.

The idea behind this project is to allow guests to connect with nature, relax, and generally slow down. All suites will be made from wood, with the addition of glass rock, which will be in charge of providing light throughout the day. During the evenings, the guests will be able to observe the snowy scenery surrounding them from the warmth of the cottage – treehouse. As these tree suites are separated, privacy is fully guaranteed, and we assume the view from the inside will be incredible.

Each smaller cottage will have a bathroom and a bedroom. Larger ones will allow guests to enjoy the spacious lounge and sauna. The interior made of wood is set to give the guests a sense of warmth, and if they wish, guests can also use facilities such as a restaurant and spa inside the hotel, not far from the cottages. This divine project won’t be finished until late 2020. Which is perfect: we have enough time to start saving for this ideal vacation.

The forest, skiing on the Alps, massages, hot cocoa, and mesmerizing tree suites; what more could one ask for?
