Valentine’s day is the second most popular holiday in the US, so making it more exciting, more interesting, is a challenge. Over 40% of couples wouldn’t mind getting engaged on this day, but dinner and a movie? No, we have better plans.
Rent a Chef
We are going for an intense romance here! If you want to surprise your loved one, you don’t have to buy a gift. You can rent a personal chef, wine, and dine while playing your favorite songs. Enjoying some delicious drinks and eating a fantastic meal in the privacy of your home is relaxing, sweet, and much better than an overcrowded restaurant.
Karaoke Night
If you love to party, it’s time for the ultimate embarrassment game: the karaoke! Check out local pubs and clubs and pick the cheesiest place to sing and dance and sing some more. You are going to laugh, compete, and maybe even get some small prize. Either way, it’s a night out you won’t forget.
Do Something Scary!
Skydiving, or going into a haunted house? Whatever it is that you are scared of, do it! Share that moment with your partner, show them you trust them, and it will mean more than any amount of chocolates. It doesn’t have to be so dramatic. If you can’t roller-skate or ice-skate, learn with a helping hand of your partner. It’s going to be embarrassing, yet you’ll feel so much better because you’re sharing something new with that particular person. Are you scared of public speaking? Go to the standup comedy club and get on that stage!
Forget All About It
If you are getting hives just from thinking about the perfect Valentine ’s Day, skip it. Not literally, since it’s in a calendar, but hang out, as usual, maybe meditate together and check-in early. Surprise your loved one on any other day, but for Valentine’s Day, stay at home and just be with each other.
