Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pierce the sweet potatoes with a fork and bake or boil until tender. Peel and mash until smooth.
- In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes and butter. Mix until creamy.
- Add sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Beat until fully blended.
- Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted comes out clean.
