The remarkable red carpet fashion has proven to be an exciting start to the year!

The brightest star of the evening was Nicole Kidman in festive, red Valentino and sparkling gold accessories. Jennifer Aniston was in her fashion element in a little black dress, while Renee Zellweger opted for a light blue Armani Prive gown and a matching pair of Jimmy Choos. Monochromatic fashion gave us some classy and beautiful outfits, but the night was anything but basic.

Sequins ruled the red carpet at Golden Globes. Michelle Pfeiffer, Ellen DeGeneres, Christina Applegate, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Saoirse Ronan gave their signatures styles makeovers with a touch of glitter. From classic dresses to modern tuxedos, sequins brought that something extra we always want to see on the red carpets.

Satin gowns, asymmetry, suits, tulle, and organza all managed to sneak on the Golden Globes, making the night more impressive and exciting. Among the best-dressed actresses were Scarlett Johansson, in a dramatic red ball gown with Bulgari jewelry, followed by Sienna Miller in a bohemian Gucci. Kerry Washington wore a black blazer, a matching silk skirt with a thigh-high slit, and a glittery silver knotted body chain underneath. Talk about being sexy and classy!

Charlize Theron chose neon green Dior, a bold and unusual choice, while Taylor Swift had a lovely floral Etro gown with emerald jewels. Overall, it was a pleasant change from previous years, because women chose to express themselves more and be braver with their fashion choices.

We picked up several trends that will follow through the Award season and beyond. From sexy tuxedos to good, old androgynous suit, followed by simple sequins, all the way to bright colors, it’s safe to assume that fabrics are getting more attention than patterns. When it comes to makeup, stars either opted for red lips or a more natural, no makeup trend. Accenting natural beauty is one trend we’ll take from the red carpets, while bold, red lips are always the perfect choice for a night out.

Since we are talking fashion strictly, our top picks are Scarlett Johansson and Nicole Kidman in their red gowns, accompanied by Cate Blanchet and Sienna Miller, who are called style queens for apparent reasons. Zoe Kravitz was covered in polka dots, and we love how she accessorized a cocktail dress with dark red lips and Schwartz earrings. And finally, we loved Winnie Harwloes modern ode to the roaring 20s, in a blue/black beaded dress with fringe and silver jewelry.
