Barbara Streisand Goes After Trump In New Editorial Column

Singer and songwriter, Barbara Streisand, is known for her bravery in standing up for what she believes in, especially on Tuesday with an open letter to President Donald Trump. She agrees with Mr. Trump on his mission to “make America great again” but makes it very clear that America was great before he got elected.

“Every morning I wake up, holding my breath while I turn on my phone to see the latest news.” – Streisand

Streisand isn’t left disappointed with Trump’s action through his Tweets or political agenda citing the election scandal through the attempted coverup of Russian interference. She also goes onto making the point that Trump is eliminating government members who aren’t on his side including those who go against his policies.

“By the way, why has Mitch McConnell blocked 10 election security bills?” – Streisand

Streisand points out that doctors are reporting that more people experience depression and anxiety, saying that “we’ve been dragged down into the mud of Trump’s swamp” since the 2016 election. She also feels that Trump has only made international relations worse through his “boasting and breathtaking ignorance.”

The Paris climate accord wasn’t forgotten about by Streisand stating that Trump placed the U.S. in a sticky situation by abandoning the Iran nuclear deal saying, “He’s a one-man weapon of mass destruction … so reckless that he almost started a war.” The coronavirus was also acknowledged by Streisand saying that Trump defunded the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and fired two pandemic specialists because he continues to ignore the scientific research.

“We can’t go on like this. It’s too dangerous.” – Streisand

She goes onto say that Trump thinks the rules don’t normally apply to him and his staff, firing the people who “obey the law and tell the truth.” Streisand reveals that Trump has told over 16,000 lies thus far, claiming that American has the cleanest air and water despite the fact he’s not supporting the regulations to keep it that way.
