Bachelor in Paradise’s Joe Amabile and Kendall Long Split

So much for paradise…

Grocery Store Joe, real name Joe Amabile, and Kendall Long have decided to call it quits. Chicago native Joe stole our hearts after Becca Kufrin sent him home on the first night of The Bachelorette in 2018. Kendall Long was among the top four girls Arie Luyendyk Jr. picked, but she didn’t win his heart. However, the Los Angeles blonde and handsome Joe fell in love during The Bachelor in Paradise season 5.

The ex-couple announced their split in a joint statement. Of course, The Bachelor Nation is in shock: their Instagrams were full of picture-perfect life, and in one of the last posts, Kendall called Joe “family.”

After over a year of dating, and living together, the fan favorites gave a lengthy statement to BachelorNation.com: “We have decided mutually to go our separate ways. Joe has decided to move back to Chicago while Kendall will be remaining in her hometown of Los Angeles. Our family and friends have always been an extremely important element to who we are as people. We can’t imagine continuing our lives without them closer, especially when thinking of starting a family of our own one day. We both respect each others’ decisions and still have a great deal of love for each other. We appreciate all the love and support everyone has given us throughout our relationship.”

Their exes are living the good life: Becca is preparing for a wedding, to the man she chose during Bachelorette days, Garrett Yrigoyen. She’s also hosting The Bachelor Live on Stage, and designing B the Label, It’s a clothing line of loungewear, and a percentage of the label’s sales benefit WomenOne.org, a nonprofit dedicated to providing education to women and girls in need.

Her ex-fiancee, Arie Luyendyk Jr., is now a dad, and with his wife, Lauren Burnham, had a second wedding in Las Vegas eight months after tying the knot in Hawaii. We are happy that they found love, but we are still not over that over the top, live break up with Kufrin. At least Kendall and Grocery Store Joe broke up in private. Will we see them in Bachelor in Paradise? We will have to wait and see…
