When it comes to beauty and cosmetics there have never been limits to what one could do. What one person may think is a weird look could become a trend to last for generations. However, this latest nail art trend may be too much for people to stomach.
Lately, there has been a rise in nail technicians taking the two things we love and putting them together. Food and nail art. For some reason, people think that what everyone wants to elevate their look is to have ramen noodles or gummy worms hanging from their nails and it all began in 2016 when chocolate nails entered the scene.
One YouTube vlogger decided that her regular French manicure just wasn’t getting the attention it deserved to switch things up.
Using a mix of dark chocolate, white chocolate and caramel icing, plus edible silver balls, Jessie Mills, otherwise known as Nailed It NZ effectively iced her nails using a piping set. If putting actual food on your nails isn’t your thing, but you still want a food manicure there’s hope for you.
If you’re an avocado lover or want a summer-theme look with watermelon or lemons then designing your nails to look like your favorite foods is a more plausible option. That way your nails can look like watermelons without actually having the fruit attached for ants to get to.
