Lily-Rose Depp grew up in the spotlight. A 20-year-old model and actress, the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis doesn’t mind being famous before she was even born. Instead, she’s full of praise and love for her famous parents.
“My parents weren’t very strict. They’ve always trusted me to be independent and make my own decisions. There wasn’t really anything to rebel against. They both left school when they were 15, so they can’t really say anything. I never thought of the university as my goal. I’ve always just wanted to work. I didn’t have any incentive to keep doing all that work.”
Despite Lily-Rose’s rising acting career, her first choice was singing. “When I was little, I wanted to be a singer, just because I wanted to be like my mom. Every little girl wants to be like her mom.” But at the age of 17, Lily-Rose Depp became Chanel’s muse (just like her mom), and it opened the door for her acting career. Currently, you can see the French-American actress as Henry V’s stoic wife Catherine of Valois in Netflix’s The King. Having two successful and internationally famous parents helped.
Despite her success in modeling and Hollywood, Jonny Depp’s daughter says she is a “homebody” at heart. She values her private life, which she learned from her parents as well, and her idea of fun is atypical for Hollywood’s rising star: “I honestly watch cooking shows more than anything.”
Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis met in 1998. The couple lived together for 14 years, and they have two children. Their son Jack (real name John Christopher Depp III), is 17 and living under the radar. Understandable for any teenager, with or without famous parents.
