You can start wearing them today, and join the IT crowd.

With more relaxed and minimalistic fashion choices and trends, jewelry is getting a more critical role in creating Instagram worthy outfits. The statement pieces for the upcoming season are oversized, luxurious, and expensive-looking. They will turn any basic outfit into a masterpiece.

Oversized Link Necklaces

There’s a big chance your mom or an auntie already has at least one oversized, statement link necklace. These jewelry pieces were huge on Bottega Veneta, Zimmermann, and Chanel runways, so it’s safe to say that they are going to rule spring and summer 2020. You can wear them to work with a plain white blouse, to a date with a mini LBD, or even to the beach. The ones in gold look more expensive; if you prefer silver shades, we are sure you will manage to find your favorites in high street stores.

The Single Earring

We aren’t talking about one tiny earring. The ones that will make an outfit are over the top (think 80s inspired), and they come in various shapes and shades. Marc Jacobs presented a doll earring, which is the ultimate statement piece for the upcoming season, and we also saw this trend on the Oscar de la Renta, Prabal Gurung, and Tibi runways. This is the easiest way to complete any outfit. From mismatched to single earring, in the fashion world, anything is possible.

Pearls

Pearls are everywhere: on your earrings, as headpieces, bracelets, and necklaces. They aren’t just gorgeous, but delicate and feminine, yet very charming and authentic. This trend comes straight from Jason Wu, Tory Burch, and Anna Sui, so it’s safe to say this trend is going to take over New York City.

Big Hoops

Big chains and big hoops are taking us back to the early 2000s. Thick, gold, and double-hooped or made by using different materials, the bigger, the better. Get your hair up and get ready for that close-up!

Honorable Mention: Colorful Jewelry

If you are tired of choosing between silver and gold, turn to more playful and colorful jewelry. Bright florals and mismatched colors on earrings or necklaces will be a real treat during summer days and nights. Marc Jacobs, Mark Fast, Ports 1961 inspired this trend, and we are happy just by thinking about all the crazy outfits this trend can help us create!
