King of comedy to make full recovery

Kevin Hart has been released from the hospital after nearly two weeks. Over Labor Day weekend, Hart and two others in his vehicle were seriously injured during a late-night car crash.

Hart sustained back injuries in the accident and is now at a rehabilitation facility. Hart fractured his spine in three places but is expected to make a full recovery. Hart’s friend, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, gave a health update on Hart–and couldn’t help cracking jokes at the notoriously short-statured Hart’s expense.

“Everything is good. I spoke with Kevin; I actually refer to him as my son. I connected with him today, and you know what? These things happen in life. And thankfully, he was strapped in nicely his car seat. Listen, I’m only kidding. We spoke to the pediatrician and he said…”

Johnson and Hart have made several movies together and often pranked each other on the set of “Jumanji.”

Hart was supposed to be a guest on Kelly Clarkson’s new talk show this week but was unable to make it due to his injuries. TMZ said a source close to Hart says the actor should be out of the rehab facility soon.

“Sources with direct knowledge tell us, Kevin is glad to get out of the L.A. hospital he’s called home for 10 days. He has a positive attitude, saying, ‘I’m grateful to be alive,'” TMZ reported. “He’s at the rehab joint right now, and the goal we’re told is to get him home ‘as soon as possible,’ where he can start outpatient care.”
