There’s something comforting about a warm blueberry muffin. The soft crumb, the burst of sweet berries, and the gentle vanilla aroma make it a simple bake that always feels special. These muffins come together quickly and stay tender for days, making them perfect for breakfast, snacks, or sharing with family.

Blueberry Muffins

Ingredients
  

  • 1 and ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ā…“ cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tray with paper liners or lightly grease each cup.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, egg, milk, and vanilla.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the blueberries, making sure they are evenly distributed.
  6. Fill each muffin cup about three quarters full.
  7. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the muffins cool for a few minutes before serving.
